duly noted.

a love note. the only thing i cherish more is finding a gas station nacho bar with a dispenser that lets ME pump how much hot cheese my heart desires. In contrast with those prepackaged-dip-five-chips-and-it's-gone crap containers they now give at the movie theaters...i don't need some money hungry butter dispensing corporation to teach me about portion control...i'll mind my own arteries, thank you!
I'll portion control your face!!
k, maybe i do.
But anyway, i realized {giving the disclaimer of my husbands "butt slaps" after posting a excerpt of his love letter }...i have such a double standard!  who am i trying to fool here?? i'm about as romantic as a Zach Braff kissing scene ...ugh!! So i was thinking of ways that i used to show my love before i got all craggy and resentful ;)....
 Ever make these?
{rubberband notes}
Such a sweet youthful way to pass along a message.
This cute blogger's husband addressed a letter and sent it to her in the mail...i love that! So that's exactly what i did {i just hope my husband doesn't read this before he gets it, as i continue to labor under the delusion that he actually reads my blog}
Mixed tapes? mirrored lipstick messages?...how do you like to give/receive notes to/from your lover?? do tell...
♥ and have a great weekend!!!

i love doing that on the elastic bands! in jr high my friends would pass notes on the elastic bands from vegatable packaging and we'd call each other "the asparagus sisters"

hahaha. very cute post!

Aw I feel so special, you linked me! Yes, it was a very sweet gushy "made me blush" kinda letter. I think it is important to show the ones we love how much we love them in creative ways.

I completely forgot about the rubber bands! I love when my boyfriend sticks little post-its on my laptop for me to find.

I never did the elastic band thing but you have totally inspired me to start writing my husband letters and mailing them to his work. We used to be "spam buddies" when we were in school where we would e-mail each other all day long but now with a "jobby job" and a baby to look after we are too busy. Now I just need to find his work address. :)

I like to leave notes for L in unexpected places - - in the books he reads, on "stickies" in his computer, in the visor of his car, etc... - - It is always fun to see how long it takes for him to find them. It surprises us both. Sometimes I try to be sneaky and somehow he stumbles across them right away. Other times I think I've left it in the MOST OBVIOUS place and it takes ages! I do love the mail though - so classically romantic!

That's similar to when I ask for ketchup at Chick-Fil-A and they hand me two packets. Uhh... what now? Just give me a vat and I'll give back what I don't use. Thanks.

My grandfather used to hide "love notes" made on old school label-maker (the kind that embosses the lettering) around the house. They all say "Joe loves Dot" and the date he printed it. My parents live in my grandparents' former home, and I love opening up a random cabinet and finding his little love notes.

Love your blog, by the way!

whenever he goes out of town, i tuck secret love notes in his shoe or a pocket of a shirt he packed to find sometime during his trip

We used to leave a dry erase marker in the bathroom to write notes on the mirror - originally notes like, "Put the friggin loo seat down!" but it turned into more sweet notes like, "Don't forget to put some concealer on the hickie I accidently gave you. Love you sweetums."

Then our friends would visit and join in too. There's nothing like spreading the love like that.

How bout write a love note on the bottom of your beautiful foot (you could write a novel) when you steal him away for alone time, ask for a foot massage so he can read your sweet nothings.
In return, you could give him a steamy promise on his foot to think about every step he takes during the tedious work day.
