my stretch marks say i have no business wearing a two piece.

and the winner is....

(anthropologie)
I know you are all gonna check the reference and roll your eyes at another blogger who acts like dropping 170 bucks on a swimsuit is no big thang...but if i add in my birthday gift card (thanks dad) and divide the rest out over all the years that i could have been buying a new suit but was still wearing my "tankini"  from 1998 (back when tankinis were cool)...it comes out to about 9 dollars. And it was worth every penny! (if you still wear a tankini, i'll still think your cool. especially if you're wearing it right now)

team Boo 's you

p.s. we still sleep on a mattress on the floor, but at least i won't have disintegrated elastic (aka. see through) beach wear.

p.p.s. yes that is me in the picture. did i mention the suit has magical powers?

p.p.p.s. today i had to answer my door with sonny's throw up on my shirt, so i earned it anyway.

a fine choice, you'll look rawtha smashing poolside this upcoming(current- AZ brats) season
the great swim suit search 2011 is on. i'm liking a lot of j.crew one pieces, and i'm not about to judge dropping that kind of dough on a swimmy. no way. not me. but then again, i am the master at purchase justification with a husband who doesn't raise a brow to my doing so, so maybe ask someone else;)

Absolutely no need to justify money spent on a swimsuit. It's the most naked most of us get outside of our own showers, and if there's a way to make that look cute, more power to you, sister friend.

I love this one. But I'm holding out for the 1920's suits to come back in style. complete with matching socks.

I splurged on two j.crew suits last year and Zach about threw me out of the house when he saw the reciept (k, not really. but he was pretty upset). But because of that I probably won't buy a new suit for a few years. Although I'm impressed with UO's selection. Like, they're not all totally weird and unwearable by normal humans.
Anyways, yesterday I bought plane tickets to NC, a pair of $180 shoes, and Zach came home from Wal-Mart with milk and Just Dance 2. Tax return baby. :)

Also, Old Navy has a cute grey-stripey one for 35 bucks.

Love it. I have a swim suit from anthropologie that looks similar to that one, but is all black. It is seriously worth the money. It's really flattering and really well made.

I love that swimsuit. If I swam at all it would be totally worth the price. I haven't put a swimsuit on since my honeymoon almost four years ago!

170 bucks for a bathing suit that will last more than one scratch from the bottom of the baby pool?? totally worth it.
